in a house
I will be having a rack system with the 2 top tanks being 120gallons, and the bottom tank being a 180. Well the sump is on the bottom ( the top tank is 6ft from the sump ). What would be a good size pump to use? and what should be a good uv also??

Yea, i got the racks and each oen is holding a 120gallon tank right now and not bowing, but me and my dad just put 3 metal bars under each rack for more support.

I have to use a uv light becayse i have a window that allows a little light into my room and causes algee.

I only want to turn the tank over about 2x, becuase there will be fry in the tank and i dont want them getting sucked into the pvc.

Well, I should have said. Whats a good uv from foster and smith? I'm ordering alota stuff from them so I might as well order the uv. Or if some one could direct me to a good uv that has a price ( dr.joe, i couldent find the price for that one )
than that would be amazing

i decided on a 780 gph quiet pump
but just need a price on a uv
 
I would run another, even small pump for the UV. That's too much flow for the UV to function properly.
 
I'm probably gona run the 780 gph pump, than get a small pump that runs the water from the sump into the uv than back into the sump ( or into the top tank )


does a uv get rid of brown algee also?
 
Are you anticipated the worst? I've had fish tanks that stood right in front of a bay window and never had a problem with algae. A pleco works wonders.
 
I cant put a pleco in with breeding parents and eggs around :(
which is what 2 of my tanks are. :(
