ok so i've got a 55 galon HOB filter. When I plug it in i can hear the motor running but the turning spinning thing is messed up i think.I think maybe something is wrong cause it won't pump water. What should i do???The spinny thing won't stay put in the bottom of the sucking thing that goes in the tank and pumps water. What could be wrong?Could i super glue the spinny thingy to the sucking thing?

unplug.......pour water into the filter till it's full then plug it in...........should then work......:)

i tried that and it didn't work:(

you actually might have lost the little rubber nub that attaches to the spiney thingy....aka impeller...........that would cause the impeller to not stick to the bottom of the filter.........

both rubber things are still attached
what could be wrong?

maybe replace the impeller. do you have another filter to compare the impeller too? i wouldnt glue anything just yet, until you know what the problem is for sure. it sounds like the rubber things dont fit snug into the little holes in the filter. i think its something to do with them. how old is this filter? did you buy it brand new? or is it older?

It's about 2 years old.Where can i buy a new inpeller.I think thats it to the rubber thing won't stay in the hole of the pump.
