HOB filter on a corner aquarium

Anybody have experience with HOB filters for Corner aquariums, specifically a All Glass Aquarium 36g. I want to do a corner aquarium and use a HOB filter but dawned on me that the dimensions are not ideal. So Idea's on what to use would be helpful. I was considering doing 2 smaller filters one on each side to try to get equal flow...what does everyone think?

I would do two smaller ones over one big one. Having two would give you more even flow like you said. It would help get rid of dead spots in the tank and if one broke, you would have the other running.
