HOB filters and bichirs?

Is it doable? I'm wanting to run a couple AC 110 filters on my tank but from what I've read polys are notorious for getting out of their tank. Anyone using these with success?

My Gold Dust is doing fine, I run AC. I only have one small poly though.

All my tanks have AC HOBS as secondary filters just be sure to cut the opening no bigger than needed also for extra security get some fiberglass or plastic window screen and silicone it over the opening this allows the water to fall back into the tank while keeping the bichir in the tank-Anne

Ive always run Aquaclears with polypterus never a problem. The only fish ive had problems with are kuhli loaches but they can get into anything.

I run AC HOB's as well, with Senegals and Ornate. No problems over the past year, though I've taken the advice of others in this forum and taped / screened every opening shut.
