does hang on back filters give the aquarium sides stress to much? im about to put an hot magnum but thought that it was too heavy and i wouldnt risk a big puddle in my living room. im using a canister filter with the hose right now

I can only say that i have never had a problem with the HOB adding too much extra weight. The only thing is making sure you get a reliable brand (aka not Topfin, they dont work well), and make sure you keep them cleaned out or they loose alot of suction.

I agree with Casey. Keep everything clean, and you will be fine. The weight of the canister is neglidgable when it comes to the stress placed on the tank by the water inside of it.

At 8.35lbs. per gallon those filters don't hold enough weight in water to make a difference.

Don't put the AC500 on your 1 gal mini bow, and you will be fine.

Yea, I just got my 2.5 mini bow drilled for a overflow. Now I just gotta build the sump and the wet/dry. What size pump should I use for this ]V[onster tank?

I have a AC500 on a Mini 7 and it works great! Plenty of flow for my corals! LOL. Make sure you post some pics of that Mini when you get it finished. Good luck!!!

Haha I was joking. Who would waste their time putting a sump on a 2.5 gallon tank. I'm sure the corals love the 200x per hour turnover rate. I thought my turnover in my brackish tank was too much, and it's only 25x/hour.
