I have two Oscars, one is about 2yrs old and one is about 4 mnths. My 2yr old has had the parasites often. I don't feed them live fish and I keep my tank very clean. Is there something I can do to prevent this? is this just something they get and has to be treated like a cold? Also it has never oozed!

What do you feed him, how often, and how much?

What is your water change scedule? How much water?

the only way to really stop hiyh is frequent water changes

Yes frequent water changes or it will just be in your tank

What size tank? Pull the carbon from your filters if you haven't already, add some salt, and then get up on your water changes. On my 75 I just did 5 gallons a day for a few weeks straight, and then the HITH was gone!!!!
