i need someome to post pics because my oscaris either missing a scale on th top of his head or its hole in the head some one plz post

I cant find any decent pics right now but it will be a deep white crater forming on the top of their head. But if it happened overnight im willing to bet he hurt himself by either splashing around or on a decoration in there. Been there done that, but if it wasnt an overnighter then you would have noticed craters forming (not to be confused with sensory pits). Start doing daily 25% waterchanges until it clears up, you can even use meds to prevent any secondary infections that could happen. First pictures are hole in the head, second are sensory pits.

Yes it is. HITH isnt as deadly to oscars as it is to other fish, they seem to be able to handle it better. So just keep it on a good diet (preferably pellets, not feeders) and regular weekly water changes and you should be set:)

Start doing 25% waterchanges daily until it clears up, you can even use meds to prevent any secondary infections that could happen. If it doesnt clear up id suggest using a brand by jungle called "Hole in Head" because the parasite Hexamite could be the culprit. But most of the time its due to bad water conditions or bad diet.
