Thinking about picking up this fish, but it has a hole in his tail.

Looks like fin rot or ammonia burns? I'd treat it with something, melafix might do the trick.

Oh I see. I wouldn't buy him, his body condition looks a bit poor. Unless you plan to quarantine it, I'd ask if you get a guarantee though.

If you can get it for a good price then go for it! it has potential and it should be pretty easy to cure it.
It looks like a pretty high quality Thai silk it's just sick.
