Post pics for a better diagnosis. The single greatest factor in preventing HITH is keeping the water clean. Over-filter any tank with oscars and do regular, massive water changes.
look under the fish health and disease section. there are plenty of answers there. water changes, aquarium salt. there are plenty of good medications out ther. i like CLOUT the best.
Dirty water is the biggest factor in getting hole in the head disease. For some reason, it seems that oscars get it alot. Maybe because the have a heavy bio load and need better filtration. I've never used any meds to treat hole in the head, just plenty of water changes, The Doctor,
like the doctor said, good water is the key. I've used Metronidazole on what looks like hexamita, but its connection with HITH is debated. just keep feeding a high quality varied diet and lots of water changes
I've cured hole in the head by keeping the water clean, keeping the diet varied, and by keeping stress low. I've noticed it more in oscars that pout a lot or just lay around. The more active they are, the better.

Water changes, water changes, water changes. Meds are a waste of money IMO (at least, when treating HITH)
