Smaller pic was what happened on 8 Oct when I came back from overseas.

After 3 treatments of eiho metro cure and aquarium salt and 1 month+ of quarantine , managed to get him cured.... I hope

1st week, 1 tablet a day for 3 days. Water change and aquarium saly every 3 days. No improvement but no deterioration. Not eating

2nd week, increase dosage to 2 tablets a day for 3 days, water change with aquarium salt every 3 days. Saw improvement. Started eating abit

3rd week, continue dosage 2 tablets a day for 3 days. Water change with aquarium salt every 3 days. Improve in appetite

4th and 5th week, no medication but water change with aquarium salt every 4-5 days. Appetite back to normal

Color now better than before hith. Maybe because I fed hikari sinking cichlid instead of grand sumo. Background was also opaque white container with only 1 air stone and nothing else.

Hope no such thing happen again

Looks more like a severe bacterial infection, than a classic case of HITH. Either way, good save!

Oh not HITH?

Any idea what cause It? Because there is no decor in the tank that he can hurt himself

Being exposed to any number of bacteria could cause an infection. A tiny break in the skin could lead to the start of infection. Hard to say, but typically HITH starts as small holes, then if left untreated, later can lead to ulcerated pits as bacteria sets in.

Yeah, whatever he had it looked nasty!
