so i have my red oscar that ive had for about 4 or 5 months and ive just being noticing his sensory pits are pin hole but they look like they have become bigger, kinda looks like hole in the head. when he was growing up i fed him feeders but then read that it can cause hith so ive been feeding him cichlid gold and jumbo krill for the past 2 months. he is in a 150 gallon wit a small 3 inch red devil, small 4 inch managuense and a 6 inch red isletas cichlid. the oscar eats fine and seems to be healthy. i recently added salt and i am starting to do 25% water changes every 3 days with a syphon vacum. but imma do a complete clean out soon. the filters i have are a fluval 405 canister and a emperor 400 filter so im am going to take the carbon out of that and just run the fluval. my oscar has had ich before but was treated with quick cure and was cured. my tank stays around a temp or 70,80,81,82 degrees. ph is about 7. please give me any other suggestions and any help will be very helpful and appreciated, thank you:)

How about the nitrite and nitrate?

No meds. I think the best approach for HITH cases is add multivitamins in their foods and feed them. Vary foods as well. You can try adding Centrum into the food mix. Anything with no or low iron is fine.
