hole in the head?

question for yous im not sure if my p's have hith one has a bump or like a growth on the side of his head the size of a dime.
and my other p has a gash on his forhead looks like maybee a battle wound not sure?
what are some other signs?
i also just took two oscars out of the tank and gave them to a lfs.
any help?
