holes in Terracotta pots

is it possible to make a small hole on the side of a terracotta pot? I want to make 2 holes on the side of the pot. one entrance and another exit. its for my convict so at least it has another place to hide from my turtle.

Use a hole saw on a drill. Just go slow and don't push too hard. Let the drill do the work.

you can cut it like tile. use a wet saw and you can get it. I assume you mean cutting out part of the edge or do you want to drill 2 holes. I imagine you could do this just like drilling holes in glass. terracotta is alot softer so you may be able to use a metal hole saw bit . good luck ppost your results

you may be able to use a hack say with a fine blade and do it wet. should work also

i saw someone else doing this

using a hammer and hammer the plier... does anyone tried this?

That would work if you don't care how big the break is. As terracotta ages it get very brittle.

i dont really care how big the break is. im soaking it for a day before i do that. btw my pot is brand new i bought like 3 days ago? from michaels.

just watch how sharp your edges end up you may need to sand them up so they don't hurt the fish
