Did a water change last Friday afternoon, and forgot to plug the heater back. Didn't find out until Saturday afternoon, and tank water temp was 60F. 21 clown loach have been covered in ick since, and I've netted out 7 dead ones so far! :irked: Two 4in, one 5.5 in, and four 6in

Dude that sucks! Man, the fear of something like that happening is making me go native for my next tank.
Sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your losses :(. I just read your previous "bad santa" post and it does not seem to be the best week for you. Hope the rest recover.

That sucks! my tank gets down to 73 at night with 2 300watt heaters in the sump and only warms to 77 with lights on during the day. I have a 100g that connects to my 300g sharing a sump. I shut off connection to the two tanks cause the overflow on the 100 kept backing up for some reason. So I was running the 100 by itself for a week before I had my hand in it and felt the water was really cold! I forgot I needed to add a heater to that tank! Luckily all that was in that tank were just my Dovii fry which didn't seem to bother them to much.

Very weak. I hate making little mistakes like that that end up biting you back big. I have forgot to turn off heaters before a wc before and paid for it when refilling. So sorry to hear about your fish. Tragic loss.

Damn.....sounds like you need to set it up on a power surge so you can see that the orange light needs to be turned back on. Better the loach tank than the big boy tank(s).

I'm very sorry for your loss. I lost all 5 of my clowns (the largest around 4") 3 weeks ago to ich caused by an evil pike cichlid. Its crazy how fast ich kills clown loaches. It didn't even phaze my other cichlids. I got rid of it fast, but not fast enough...

Sorry to hear. I've just started to get back into clown loaches so it's sad to see these deaths. Hope the rest would pull through.
