Holly Friggin Dumb Fish. fast Ideas needed

I have no Idea what todo to try and save this guy. I just got home and this dumb fish swam up into this dumb castle and is stuck. I tried to gently push him out but the way he is in there he is wedged. I brought him to the surface to breath a couple times while I think about this, I lost another Gourami kinda like this.


Any IDEAs

The only way I can think of is trying to force him out with your hands and then get rid of the castle if this is the second time it has happened

ornaments like that are usually quite brittle so i would smash it as carefully as possible, the gourami is dead anyway so you've got nothing to lose if it doesnt work. i had to smash a hollow fake root after i took it out the tank but couldnt find my plec after 30 minutes. the plec survived.

Had to break the castle to get the fish out.

You can see he is still live.

this is my gf's tank not mine, I dont have no silly stuff like that in my tanks. The last one I lost was due to a temprary filter.

i've used ky jelly once on a friends turtle and he was stuck in a similar object

Nice to here that you found a solution and saved the poor little guy. He probably thought he was a dragon and was guarding the princess in the castle. lol

Seriously though, to the OP, I've seen numerous similar posts over the years. Ceramic store bought decorations seem to have holes just big enough to trap fish in.
