i had no idea...granted i have 8 skunks and we all know how they can be but i just bought 2 polka dots...well my old parrot cichlid has HITCH and had sort of a jungus growing from the pits....lets just say they cleaned out those pits real good..

he has them under control now though.

but my main concern is will the loaches attack him at night when asleep?

this is a 125g btw

I'm confused. Which loaches are attacking your parrots? Obviously, the skunks are the nastiest there is.

the polka dots

Now I can see why. You have only two of them. Get more. They tend to be more aggressive if kept in fewer numbers.

if i could've of i would've...there was only two at a petsmart and around me ...i have only seen them for sale once. but if i do see them again i will buy at leadt 3 more

what other loaches can be added to the mix.

got 8 skunks and will have about 5 polka dots....what about those blue orange fin botias...how are they with them

I'd simply isolate the skunks before they begin to wreak havoc to the others. What you're talking about are modestas. The modestas grow extremely large to 8 inches. The skunks will be fine but not the kubotai. Modestas are capable of heavy damages especially when they clash. Modestas are just as nasty as the skunks.

well i keep the skunks not only with polkas but with 2 parrots an african knife and a rainbow shark.

all of the fish are capable and do defend themselves. im only going to put in a large school of tiger barbs besides the current stock and MAY try a redtail shark and hope it sets up a territory on the opposite side of the tank from the redtail.

the skunks are little devils but its not like i am keeping them with discus lol

I have seen loaches attack fish with open wounds. I'd isolate the that fish.
