Ok as the title says my Krebs went into a Molting Frenzy. I took them all out of my 20L and moved them over to my 29 Bow. Better Filter, Better Water Flow, Better Lighting. End result I had 6 Berried out of about 15 Krebs. All of them have dropped babies excepting one. And within the last 2 days I have found 9 Molted Shells from the large ones, and at least 3 dozen baby shells on the Sponge Filter. Normally I find a Molt here and there 1 at a time. Then I leave the shell in their for the Krebs to eat. But now I have 9 Large shells, and all these baby shells sticking to my Sponge Filter.

Should I remove some of them? Leave them? What's the general census on this?

Mike

Also, How often do you notice a Kreb Molt and lose both of their main claws in the process. Like the new claws were left in the molt?

I would say leave them..if they are shedding that much they will need the calcium back..they will eat them.

don't know why they all would be doing it at once..maybe slightly different water chemistry?

i only have one..who is on her first berry at the moment so i am no expert but..just what i might do.

hopefully someone with more knowledge will jump in soon.

Anyone else with an opinion on this? When you find over 30 Marmorkreb Molts in your tank in just a couple of days. Do you remove them or leave them?

If the babies were born at roughly the same time, they would also go through a molt at about the same time too. Not sure about the adults though... crazy luck? Like Kaosu wrote, you should probably leave the shells in, unless they are actually blocking a lot of the water flow. Good luck...

I'd leave them for a bit and pull them if they don't disappear.

Leave the molts in as they tend to eat them to regain any lost calcium they lost during molts. Usually they tend to molt during a big water change.
