Hey there,

I posted earlier in week pictures of my 38 gallon planted tank.. Another member suggested I pick up flourish excell.

WELL.

Looks like my CO2 Injections = FAIL??.. Ive been running co2 injection for over 3 months.

when i FIRST introduced my GREEN MYRO's, they were nice and thick and were growing fairly fast.. soon they died out and started to get yellow.

Now im noticing yellowing on the newly planted green myro's.

HOWEVER, Last night I purchased flourish excell and did a small dose...

This morning I dosed the tank propperly before work.

I got home, and woah, my Wisteria and red/green myrio's where nice and 'fluff' and were standing up nicely, not to mention growth.

Also, I JUST started dosing IRON into the tank ~ week ago.. helped with SOME YELLOWING.

Dosing methods:

flourish: 2x per week
FE-Iron: 2x per week.
potasium: 1x per week
nitrogen: 1x per week.

Seems my CO2 system is not working?.. right now its reading less than 50PSI off tank? I have no idea quite honestly.. but its pushing 2-3bppm.

Lastly, I have been experiencing green algae growth. Members have stated that Flourish Excell will help reduce that.

I scrub sides of tank with scrubby.

Plants:

5+ Wisteria
10+ Green myrio's
6+ Red Myrios
1x chain sword(narrow leaf)
1x Melon Sword
1x group of micro swords
2x Anuba nana (on driftwood)
1x dwarf sagittaria

What type of Co2 injection are you running? Also dosing should be going on along with Co2.
Excell will kill some plants, yellowing = low Nitrogen levels

Co2 system:

2.5LB co2 tank
AquaticLife CO2 Regulator w/ Solenoid Valve

using small glass bell diffuser w. Co2 tubing...

I will up my Nitrogen dosing.

Should I keep the dosing methods the same? And yes ofcourse, Only use Excell sparingly or as needed.

No, I do not =/.

starting to get expensive :o.

What are the 'genera' signs of nitrogen deficiency?

On some of my green Myro's (older ones).. The top leaves are bright green, but down the stem, alot of them are yellowish / brown towards the tips..

Might want to prune the top some. Always remove yellow leaves because plants send extra nutrients to these leafs to repair it.
