I walked my dog and came back home to a really badly torn up zebra danio. 1/2 a pectoral on one side, none on the other, missing an eye, half a tail fin. I have reason to believe my geos did this ( my angel acara aren't capable of this) . However, they've never shown aggression to the danios. I knew it would happen eventually, and my danios are pretty old anyways, but can a 4.5" geo (or 3.5" acara?) really destroy a danio like that?

End of an era for me, I guess I'm moving on to cichlids now...

It was the geos who devoured the corpse... Any other guesses?

Also, after upgrading to the 75, I think I've decided on a GT for the 55.

GT's are great fish for 55g, they only get 8-10", have a ton of personality and provide a little bit of a challenge! Just make sure the water is always clean, the temperature and pH is consistent and that his diet is better than ours! JK but it should be really good ( 3-4 different types of hikari, try to stay within the same brand )

L021, get a Bichir for your 55
Just call me Nate :D

So, would the geos or acara be the prime subject?

Alrighty then Nate, I'd go with the Acara.
Geos are armed only with pharengeal (throat) teeth, and long gill raker filaments for sifting sand.
