This is my 75 gallon build. I would like to acknowledge mr.reef24, one of the most experienced SW keepers that I know. He and I talked about cowfish for ages, and we both contemplated on raising some cowfish. Since 2010, mr.reef24 has disappeared but his legacy and influence has stayed with me. Since then, I have worked on planning a cowfish tank and my online order came yesterday.







 
<3 cowfish. I have owned 1 about 10 years ago, but they are just neat little fish. Good luck, and I look forward to pics!
 
Thanks so much for all the tips. @Clay what kind of cowfish did you own? And what foods did you feed it?

I plan on getting a thornback cowfish, lactoria fornasini. It grows to 6 inches, so it should do well in my 75 gallon.
 
I got 160 gallons mix of instant ocean salt to supply my other tanks and this tank. The tank is coming good, I especially like the vertex leds :D
 
*Update 2 years later
-Might be upgrading to 180 gallon FOWLR with a cowfish+triggers (probably blue throat trigger). This one dude says he could sell me his 180 for 150 bucks. A good trade off I'd say! And it's a wide tank, 6ft long by 2 ft wide by X height. I'm rather excited if this works out.
