I am at college right now, and really missing my fish tanks from back home. So, I did the next best thing and got an Eclipse tank from my aunt who lives up here. I just barely set it up yesterday and have the filtration running and all. It was well in use for 5 years straight, so it's just like doing a complete water change. But, I went and got some fish and plants from a cool store in Hayward, Superway Aquarium I think it was. It's an awesome store, the owner is pretty old and cool. He has a lot of oddballs. Saw my first live paraya, fw baracudas, temensis, snapper, and other stuff that I can't remember.

Well, anyways, I capitalized on the "5 neons for $1.99". Deal and got 9 neons (he miscounted and charged me the same, but whatever, made up for it in the unexpected surprise from the java fern.) Also got one long finned blue ram and 3 corys (forgot which variety). The surprise in the java fern was about 5 kulli loaches, or at least I think that's what they're called(eel-like loaches that have black and orange bands/ blotches). Here's a really bad shot of the tank:

Nice feeder tank :D jk. Good to keep something that will keep you in the hobby until you get back.

Lol, yeah, rather expensive feeder fish. But I still got some aquascaping to do. :) Gonna go get some rocks and a tree-like piece of driftwood. :) I want to put a nandus nandus in there for temp . . . but probably will eat all the neons though. XP But whatever, lol. I'll go get some rummynose tetras. :) 5 of dem once the tank is more established. I'm scared I might find myself with a tank full of dead fish tomorrow. XP But I'll just have to wait and see.

Looks nice!

Yeah being in college with limited space sucks. I'm now in my 7th year of college and finally had enough and said "Screw it, I'm setting up some tanks!" and now I have 6 tanks. Oh well...

Anyway, it's a very nice tank! I love all of the live plants, and you can't go wrong with neons. :-)

Lol, yeah, the limit here is a 20 gallon tank. But they didn't say how many you could have. :P But whatever, lol, I'm in dorms, gotta use some common sense and not get a ton of little tanks, haha. Plus my mom would go insane if I brought them home. XP I need 2 more plants at least. :) Then me be happy. Hopefully I can get a piece of driftwood with some stuff growing on it already.

Nice looking set up, that should help ease the fish tank home sickness you're feeling.
