hey all, I've been searching online for diy cichlid foods and found few recipes. I just finished making a small batch consisting of:

1/4 of a cucumber peeled
half fresh tilipia fillet
1/2 cup unshelled peas
2 jumbo shrimp without shell
2 gloves of garlic

Purreed all the ingredients and I placed the mush in a ziplock bag.

My tank consists of 36 sarpaes, 5 red head tapajos, 4 CL, and 4 cory bronchis in a 150g. Everyone goes crazy for it once I put it in the tank.

Has anyone put vitamins for human consumption with their diy foods?

I would love to know more about this and how your fish do on this. Is this going to be their regular food?

I know fish respond to treatment in their water that is used for human consumption like tetracyclin. I would be interested to know about the vitamins too.

I have read about such DIY fish foods before, and have done it myself, it really helps if you get a cocktail ice cube tray, containing small compartments so that you can make your own frozen cubes for prolonged storage and less mess when dropped in the water

thanks for the advice, I picked up some small ice cube trays for smaller fridges. I feed this as a supplement/treat to hikari bio gold. I may purchase some Spirulina power/flakes from Ken's fish (vendor on here) and add that to my next batch.
