dun no if anyone has talked about this or tried this yet but just wondering if it would be possible to build a home made filter?
in my opinion its not that complex but has anyone here tried it?

what kind of filter are you talking about? there's a lot of diy wet/dry filters and sumps out there. if you scroll down there's probably one on this page, or in the stickies

i made my own intenal filter with a powerhead and a plastic box, i've modified sponge filters with powerheads, i've made a small w/d....other people do crazy diy filters though.

aight thanks, its cuz i have an old aquarium and dont realy wanna spend like 150$ on filters, heaters lights, etc lol:P
trying to save a few bucks
P.S. i may sound stupid but whats a sump lol?

Made a homade pond filter, cut hole in the bottom of a tupperware square container screwed a aqua tech filter cartridge over the hole with stainless screws, later to become bolts with a little drilling first.I imagine a powerhead would feed water just as the pond pump does.. Probably for indoor use it will need something to catch overflow when it clogs. Maby some pvc or hose through the side at a higher water level. Ill post some pics later but its pretty self explanitory
