Anyone else make their own lures? Hand carved these the top popper is 8 inches with the other 2 being 6 inches each.

They are meant for saltwater, going to try for some kingfish with them. A little big for reds though, making more at the moment maybe some swimmers and other lures.
Looks good man. How are you attaching the hooks? If a big school of big jacks come by you dont want to have them rip apart your plug.
Want to make me one and paint it bubble gum pink? hehe I dont know what it is about that pink color but kings love it. If caught more kings on pink stretches and pink dusters then any other color.

They look like they'd be great Striper bait, especially if you get some other color on them.

Yeah im going to do other colors, its just thats the rattle cans that i had and i was going for a spanish/green mackerel color for the spring kings going after the little chain spanish macks. And these are just prototypes got some more in the works right now.
The lures are solid white pine with 1 inch .72 stainless steel screw eyes. The eyes are epoxied into the lure so im not worried anything besides maybe a tarpon. The eyes will break off before the threading gives out. So you want a popper or something else?
Sounds good man, those jacks can tear up a plug real quick though if the hooks arent secured.

i make my own muskie lures. yours are good. i have thought about making some wooden poppers and some glide style baits of wood also.
