I just read that you are planning a trip there this year. Whats funny is that my wife just returned from "Sensenti" and she begged me to go but I went against it. Ok I was scared but I have my reasons. I dont speak spanish and at one time they had one of the highest murder rates in the world.

Anyway I wanted to see if there is any collectting sites close to "Sensenti" that you know of. Cause she is planning her next trip back to her home land as we speak and once again she is tring to get me to go.

Thanks any info would be great!!!!

That's in the western highlands, very safe area, I would venter around that area alone with no problem, The Rio Copan basin is a hot bed of cool fish, Chuco microthalmus, Parachromis motoguense Red tiger, gold form of Cryptoheros spilurum, Thorichthyes auerium gold, lots of cool live bears. have fun! Bet, I siked now cause she said it was a safe place but I had second thoughts about going. Thanks to your info I think I will take her up on the offer. Now that I know I can go fishing for ciclids and come back alive, im ALL in!!! Her family owns alot of land over there!

Thanks for the info!!!!!

My wifes uncle just mentioned a lake called-Yojoa. I just did a search and the results werent promising. Any info on this lake?????

It said it had bass in it but also stated that the natives have really killed it by eatting all the fish!!

Thanks!!

I quess he mentioned it cause its close by and he told my wife thats its a beautiful lake. After doing some research about it, everone said yess indeed it was a pretty lake but NO fish was caught. They said all they seen was alot of bait fish so that probaly means the locals have caught most of the big fish!!!

When my wife returned she hads some pics of a small pond that the natives use to grow tilipia but they dont allow fishing it cause its one of the food sources!!

Thanks again!!!

Do you think ill be able to catch any cichlids with crappie style baits like small jig heads???

You can fish, but anything you catch that way is going to be to large to bring back, You need a siene or cast net and bring back fry and small adults.

I'm not going to beable to bring anything back anyway!

Unless u have some tips on how to do so????

Thanks again for the info!!!!
