Is a Niger trigger, Placid enough to be placed in a "Community" FOWLR tank?
No Corals or inverts.

But I do have, Yellow Tang, Black Clowns, Royal Gamma, Firefish Goby, And a pesky yellow tail blue damsel i can't catch.. lol!

Current tank = 55, 150Long Cycling right now.. Won't add the Niger till the 150 is ready,

i would think the only problems could be with the firefish.. and MAYBE the gramma and clowns... F' the damsel :D

LoL I would be more then happy if the damsel got eaten.. he was an impulse buy that I regret, little bully...

All the sites I read say that the niger wouldn't really be a problem, I would just test for aggression, BUT with the teeth and jaws on them, it might be a fish or three bitten in half before i know..

Would it make any difference that the Niger is small 2" Roughly, My black clowns are bigger then him lol!.. Maybe being small and growing would limit any aggression? That and being well fed..?

This is a Community tank in our living room, If i could I would set up a pred tank, but I can't.. so I can only hope I can put my favorite fish into this system :P

well worse comes to worse could you keep the clowns and firfish in the 55?

55 will turn into a hospital tank Under the stand of the big tank, so no light and no viewing at all... If a Trigger would throw the tank that off balance, I will not do it, Just did some research and seen they were least agressive and they were my favorite, so thought I would ask, thanks for helping tho!

seriously WTF?

I would avoid the whole situation because its easier then trying to move fish around when it doesn't work. Pred fish with non-pred fish depending on size of course is a real gamble and i would call it unnecessary.

Could work, although the trigger will out compete most of the others for food. You will find it will eat anything and eat it very quickly.
