A few days ago, my Salvini chased my Jag into the side of the tank. It was a big hit, he hit the heater and it kind of hit the side of the tank. I checked it out, there were no problems with the fish. Though I noticed something.. off with the heater. I looked at it, figured it was nothing.
Yesterday I noticed the temperature was just above the norm, but it was also a ridiculously hot day out. So I turned down the heater and let it be.
Tonight I checked the temp again and noticed it was at 90 degrees! I looked at the back of the heater and it was all cracked inside and there was obvious problems.
It's really hot out tonight, so they should be fine until I can go down to the LFS tomorrow and pick a new heater up.
On the bright side though, I guess the salvini thought it was breeding time and brought out his full yellow self. I wish I could get my camera to not be *** as **** so I could take a good picture of him; he's gorgeous right now!
