Hey, in my lfs today I noticed somehing called a "hopa hopa frog". It was prety big, about 6" in diameter, flat, and pretty round. it was brown and its head looked like a mata mata turtle's. Can anyone give me any info on him?

And since your already here, I might as well ask another Q. What is a good diet for pacman frogs? Can they live on guppies, baby cons, and crickets a couple times a week?

Thanks

Was it fully aquatic? Pipa Pipa (surinam toads) seem to fit your description.

Does it look like this?

They're cool as hell. the LFS around here was selling one for $40 and it ate feeders and krill.
Do a quick google search and you'll learn how they breed. It's interesting as hell!

I've got two in a 55g, filled about 2/3 of the way up. Mine are a bit picky eating. Agree that feeders work well, and mine eat chopped fish and shrimp when fed with feeding tongs. I love these guys, just hope they never breed (really creeps me out!).
