Got a couple bass on weekend and looks like smaller one beat the living crap outta the bigger one and now he is in VERY rough shape :(

He been laying upside down for a day and half and now today he is laying on his side breathing pretty hard

So I've added some melafix, salt, and stress coat. Have him sectioned off in the tank as well...... I've got a feeling he won't make it though.... What you guys think and any tips would be great .....

I'm honestly impressed he lasted that long on his back that way. Whenever I have a fish in this condition, I prop them upright with décor or a rock or something along the wall of the tank in order to keep them right side up, and I put them infront of a current of some sort (powerhead, filter output, whatever available). make sure the O2 in the tank is good and just wait and see.

Sorry...hope the bass makes it.

I had a 3" Flowerhorn deliver a butt whooping to a much larger parrot cichlid recently. Parrot was in similar shape as your fish. He was stuck to the filter intake when I found him, but alive. I put him in a breeder box, and added small stones to keep him upright, and put an air stone directly underneath him to provide water movement over the gills. He was able keep himself upright after about 8 hours, and was back in the tank as normal in around 36hrs, minus the flower horn of course.

Ya have air pump that pumps air in the tank as well as splashing in my sump that puts air into water .... I took carbon out due to meds I added but o also have pothos in sumo will they take my meds out as well I just thought bout it

should I put couple stones in to try and hold him up though ? Sometimes he moves around from the edge to other side on his own though so he might not even stay up near the stone either

No the pothos will not pull your meds out of the water. keep up with salt and 02, maybe raise tank temp a little but other than that once they start rolling only time is gonna tell if he'll make it. like I said get him infront of a current to aide his breathing and stick him there.

is he swimming upright when he moves or is he just more or less flopping around?

Well I put a air stone down on edge of tank near him so there should be tons o air in the tank

Also I do have a power head in there but I shut it off in case it stresses him out more of a 3400gph one I can only turn it down so much tho too right I guess I could turn it on the lowest setting then some better then. Nothing I suppose

As for when he "swims" he just basically moves his pectoral fins to move around only also should I should water changes when he is like this and re ass salt and meds as well ?
