i had a similar fish ... the best i could figure out was Syno. Frontosa

It looks just like all the mature nigrita types I've found. He's 6in long now, and I can't seem to find a definite on max size. I've read ranges from 7 to 10 inches.

Nigrita was one of the other ones i thought he might be.
if its any help, mine was 12" and it had pretty much stopped growing lol ...

I was guessing Synodontis frontosus in AC as well.lol Liz may be able to confirm that.

Where did you get him?

I got him from a neighbor the other night. He was being picked on in their tank, they claimed. He looks fine to me, and gets along fine with my fish.
