I have a 220 GALLON tank that i need some ideas for stocking... completely saltwater but i don't want the aggressive style.. i want ALOT off smaller fish... things that will catch my daughter's eye.. she is two... lots of ideas and 1 more question... will pool filtter sand be OK for my new saltwater or should i get new dry marine sand???

You should get marine sand. I recommend aragonite, nothing so small that you cant siphon your substrate clean however.

Stocking should really be up to you though man, its not our tank...what do you want? Figure some stuff out and then we can talk compatibility.

I agree with fleshy on the substrate. Go marine and coarse. In terms of stocking go for some small schooling fish... Chromis, cardinals, firefish etc. Also percula/ocellaris clown fish are always popular among kids.

coral sand for sure , pool sand will be silica sand. your tank is a decent size , so you are open to options. maybe some anthias, yellow and purple tangs are eyecatching fish . what lighting do you plan on?and is it fish only or fish and coral

Deffinately a fish only.. and i am running a nova extreme and a set of PC lights... yes these are the kind d of ideas i am looking for
