Hoplias ? anyone

Having kept a few species of hoplias over the yrs i now own 2
One is a common mala while the other is a mystery . having been marked as an unknown when it came to me and its pattern has been different to any wolf i have kept my initial thoughts were a mala from a new/unknown region.
however at 11 inches long all of her fins changed colour and have a black band near the tip of each 1 .
not the greatest pic but any ideas of species/origin would be a great help in advance thank you

looks Hoplias Malabaricus, but that pic is tiny also

ok forget the crumby pic lol . if this fish is mala why the ttaly differing body markings and black edges to the fins ? is this from a new unseen region that ive never heard of

Mala's are a very widespread species covering a huge range of South America. There are many variations of colour and patterning.

A closer pic would give us a better ID.
