I have had my Curu for a little over 2 years now and from my experience he is just as active during the day as he is in the night. I've never really seen a difference in feeding either, but it could just be my specimen. It has also been kept in a tank that gets direct sunlight, so that could attribute to his behavior too.

My Black Wolf always come to the front of the tank, hoping for a treat, like a puppy. No matter the time of day.

Mine is pretty active in the day, he coasts around with breaks here and there and hovers quite a bit. At night he swims towards the top more and more rapidly.

My curu is active whenever I walk by the tank...he has a few spots he prefers to hang out around ,other that that he's always prowling about. He does occasionally hang out and pile with my two bichirs. I keep my lighting dim and the room is dark most often, so the activity is pretty consistent.
