Hello , finally time to upgrade my tank to 200g. I do have a hoplias Mala female and a jaguar cichlid male both 2 and 3 years old. Their sizes are around 25cm each. I want to put them together in a 200g with some other fish. I was thinking some oscars. What other fish can i add with them? The tank will have some driftwood and some rocks for caves

Looking for stocking ideas and tankmates for a 200g containing a jaguar and a malabaricus?
Maybe I am overly conservative, but...I would put those two fish in the tank, look at them closely, decide which one I wanted more, and then remove and re-home the other one. I'd do it quickly in case they decide to make the choice for you.
Then I'd start planning my next upgrade, since the 200 will be pretty crowded when the one fish that remains finishes growing. Afterr that, you can consider one or maybe two Oscars for the 200gallon.
