I was wondering if I could put my Mala with my tats for a while until the Mala gets bigger then I would move him to another tank. The size of the Mala and Tats are about 6". Do you think it will work or will the Mala kill my tats? The reason I ask is I just had Motoro stingray pups and I put them into my 90 gallon where the Mala was and moved the Mala into a 180 gallon tank with peacock bass,Jurnese catfish and a large motoro stingray female. I am kinda scared the stingray might try to eat the wolf or the wolf might not get any of the smelts I put into the tank. That's why I wanted move him to the 230 gallon with the tats.

Judging by your tanksizes and stock I have no doudt theres little advice that can be givin' that you don't already know and have a handle on. It's gonna come down to the fishes individual personality. Give the wolf a place to call home. Suprisingly for as large and as fast as they grow they don't eat tons of food. Mine grew from 6" to 12" in 3 short months eating 1 silverslide a day. 9 mo. later @ 16" and thick as a forearm he still only eats 1-2 silverslides daily. I've tried to up his food intake and initailly he'll eat several more at on time however this has only lead to massive hunger strikes. Mine is kept solitary. I've tried to co-hab him and he will attack anything larger or smaller but that's just his persona not all of them. I have zero experince with rays you'd know better how they would react towards a wolf. Best of Luck!

For a large tank of 230 gal, I think there won't be any territorial conflict. I would try. To be in the safe sife, feed both of ur fish some extra food each time U feed them.

Before i traded my mala he was in a 75 with smaller fish and was fine. All depends on the fish and you should know your fish so ur observations of the wolf will show you the answer. My wolf was very melo and tame

I would be super careful. Regardless of tank size, the wolf will most likley out grow the Tat and from expereince, it leads to only one things...

One very fat wolf!

I learned from owning a mala, black and aimara that you can never trust a wolf fish!
