Hoplias Malabaricus Max Size?

So, I've heard many people say a different max size for this fish in an aquarium. Some people say 24 inches, some say 20 inches, and some even said 15-16 inches. Have any of you guys had/ have this fish and how big did it get/ is it?

I did not keep mine because he reeked havoc on my tank. He bit my JD in the body and he could no longer swim. But Shark Aquarium has on the length of my arm. I do not know if it was wild caught. I am over 6ft tall.

they definitely get bigger than 15 or 16 inches, my brother had one at 20 so that'd be my best bet, around 25 id say
