im getting a hoplias malabaricus wolf fish in a few wks time around 5 or 6inch and was thinkin of puting him in with our rainbow snakeheads 5inch,bgk10inch,2sailfin plecs 10ich.
do you think he would be ok with them untill i get a tank just for him.

5 or 6 inches is around the point mine started to be really mean. if its only a couple of weeks, it may work, as long as hes well fed. but, dont take this as gospel. wolves are so unpredictable and it could go wrong pretty quickly

hahaha i had a clown with my wolf. thought it was all good. community tanking it. but then one day the wolf took the clowns guts out. very unpredictable. with an arsenal in his mouth. =)

yeah, they're funny... sometimes you can have tankmates with them for months with no problems. then one day you come home to fish that are severed in half. you can try it. it might work.

I got seven of those today. USD8 for all! They are around 3" and share the tank with convicts, JDs and samller fish called "mojarras" here.

They swim up to the mojarras and suck them in like spaghetti or grapes.

i know its a chance you have to take with them and il have to just take a chance untill his tank comes.iv got other tanks he could go in but then he might not last five mins in there.

Just separate the tank!

I did I with two adult Oscars. It works.
