Hi i m intersted to buy a hoplias macalabitus (black wolf) small. Atm i have a tank which is planted and it houses one striata 25cm inside which lives there 4 months alone. This tank is heavily planted with some hiding spots. Do you thing if they can live together for 2-3 months?

I don’t think it’ll be a good mix. Some snakehead can be communed (pleuros) but due to their subtropical requirements I’d say no and unstable aggression I’d say no.

Also, malas aren’t known as black wolves. Curupira are known as black wolves.

True , i ve done some research about malacabitus which isnt black wolf anyway , i was thinking about 2-3 months just for grow out tank/ I dont know anything about hoplias and their agression at early stage of their lifes

I'd say the way the act at a young age towards similar sized fish usually remains to be the way they behave. It's "malabaricus" by the way...
