Any one own a Hoplias microlepis?
can't find much information on them, how to tell them apart from Hoplias malabaricus?
Any difference in terms of behaviors? in terms of activeness and aggression? how big does it get?

i think they max at 14'' and they are much more active than mala's . i really think they are actually a variant of mala's and usually the only way to tell is underneath the jaw, wether its paralell or joined check some old posts and u will see the difference between mala's and lacerdae sp's.:D

they look the same.
but i think microlepis has reversed pectoral fins?
and they are a separate species.

any chance of comparison pictures between mala and microlepis
 
i did, nothing back from him yet. i might just go over there when i have time
