Hoplias sp.?

Havent showed any pics of this guy. The only hoplias that i have ever kept longer then a week, this guy currently eats anything that tpuches the water. hes currently at 9 inches and growing fast. i cant pin point the specie although i am thinking mala. let me know what you guys think.

I was thinking the same thing. Nice fish! I remember getting bitten by one a few years ago in my days of working at the LFS. Bled for hours it seemed!

I dont stick my hands in his tank lmao. as soon as i enter the room he comes right to the top and starts biting at anything that touches the water.

I always loved the way hoplias look but the truth is they usually are dreadfully boring. So i would purchase them and then either give them away or sell them because they werent my cup of tea. but this guy is keeping the interest going by eating extremely well and as soon as food touches the water.
