I have search the forum and the web and can't really come up with anything regarding how well the work. I know they wont flow quite as fast as teh vertical ones.

The reason I want to go with these are so the fish have the most room in the tank. I also think it would be easier to to run plumbing to the sump located behind the tank.

I am also stuck on if I should put an over flow box on the two holes? or just stick a 90, or 45 elbow. The only real video of this style I have seen is from glass-holes on their dart 3000GPH over flow. I will end up with close to this same amount since I will also be using two 2 inch holes.

Yes this is what I am talking about, has anyone used a setup like this? To me it seems like a win win would be the easiest for me to install with the central filtration, plus the most room in the tank.

I am not sure if I would actually need the overflow box like this has I think I could hookup a down turned 90 instead.

The full overflows are mainly used to when the tank needs to be flush against the wall and therefore needs to have a bottom drilled tank.
