I have heard there are hormones that peaple put in there food and water to bring out kok,color and other qualities.Does anyone know is there any truth to that?

I am not to sure but some hormones hat are found in some products we eat i know of estrogen it is found in cow milk farmers give it to cows so they can produce more milk. Im sure there are more hormones in our food. But i doubt any hormes we consume will benefit fish.....
Theres a product called Spawn-Aid not sure if its hormnes or not but it helps with spawning

If your gonna use that spawn aid you might as well get probotic spawn enhancer, you feed it to the female and 3-5 days later she will start to carry eggs......

The latest popular hybrid is the Flower Horn Cichlid, and though breeders of this fish state that this fish was not cross-bred through the use of hormones; as they refuse to publish their methods, such statements are highly suspect.
