horned lizard

i've seen them on kingsnake.com and at some reptile shows. NO THEY WILL NOT LIVE ON CRICKETS, they need to be fed live ants or they slowly starve to death over a month or two.

i did see a supplier of live ants in a reptiles magazine advertisement but i can't remember who it was for the life of me. google around for live ants.

if you're determined to keep one, it can be done, but there are a lot of other great reptiles that are more suited to captive care.

good luck.

oh. i heard that they could be trained to eat other insects i know there are some ant websites available

dude go with a bearded dragon or a leopard gecko..

Horned lizards are pretty advanced but I have seen some do okay on crickets sprayed with vinegar. I also recommend getting something more simple. If you like the look of horned lizards then you may like croc skinks too. much easier to care for. just a suggestion.

I agree from first hand experience they are hard to get eating and even when they do they don't thrive like other lizards.
