I had about ten plus horsefaces. Yesterday, I switched out the gravel for sand in preparation for today. Must have spooked them because one jumped out last night.

But this morning, I received a delivery of fifty more, between four and five inches, straight from the Mekong river. I also got a false SAE that found its way into the bag.

Actually, although they are bigger than the ones I already had, they look a bit worn out from the journey. It might take a while for them.

With sixty plus of them, you can really see the politics.

Thats aweome, I haven't seen these available at the lfs in a few years. I had one years ago in a community tank and would never see him fully out, but if you searched the sand you could oftne find a snout or full face sticking out especially at feeding time.

I still have 5 but they are so skittish. Even with dithers.

Yes.

I keep many type of loaches, and I find they all do better in large groups.

The tank has got a side trickle filter, filled with jap mat and pumice. But you can never have too much filtration, so I have piped the return to a flower pot filled with more pumice and a stainless steel sieve on top.
