horse faced/long nose loach

I had a group of 4-5 of these guys in a 20 show tank with sand gravel. A few months back, we moved and I put them into a 60g planted cube with Flourite. I'm thinking that wasn't such a good decision because I have not seen them lately. Can these guys deal with flourite or do they need to be in finer grain sandy substrate?

I've no experience with Fluorite but in general, horse faced loaches actually like fine grain substrate. They like to burrow around and appear mostly at night.

They do burrow most of the time..I only saw minw when i vacummed the gravel and disturbed them..
