^^^ Rich is right AND the original owner....very cool thing to have. My problem is I really don't have room for it. Not going to subject it to life with a puffer and the eel tank just has too much rock in it.....
Oh well I guess if no one takes it then it's just more motivation to get the eels a decent sized tank that will be big enough for them AND the crab.
As far as pics.....I don't currently have any. Rich might.....
should call the fish shack bill there would take him off your hands i think or trade him in its in manchester iowa i know its a little drive but you could call and see first ive seen little ones in my LFS in waterloo 2in wide but you would get screwed taking it there theay would try and sell it for 100 bucks or so bill is the best place i think unless you find someone in your area
and i know what you mean i llived in clear lake and visited the fish store in masoncity if thats the one you are talking about
The only fish place in Mason now is Feathers and More. Bout as knowledgeable as my Horse Shoe Crab when it comes to fish. Tried to trade in a Motoro Ray and had troubles explaining that it wasn't a "teacup".
Saigon Aquatics was the good one. Unmfortunatley now closed due to health isues with the owner Hep a vietnamese gentleman. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't be typing this. I've always had fish but not the knowledge to keep crazy ones..... That guy has probobly forgotten more than most stores around here know. I actually ended up with about 1/2 the tanks in his store, his pond, all the shelving and a crazy wet dry that was used for 1/2 the salt tanks in his store.
I have been to all the decent stores in North Iowa. As far as I'm concerned they are all a joke. Des Moines didn't impress either. I waited for the only shop down there that said they could get morays to get me one for over a year....That's why I have been going to Chicago to get fish.
Joshua-I am taking your suggestion to heart and I will plan on visiting Bill in the near future. He offered to take the crab but I'm gonna leave this open to any HOBBYISTS that would want it....as I said I would like to find it a good HOME rather than a temporary one.
Any more recomendations for shops in Iowa?
And Joshua....THANK YOU very much for your assistance.
