So, anyone around here like horses?
As my college grad present, my boyfriend bought us tickets to see the Lipizzaner stallions when they were in town last night. These are the horses that do all the "dances" and "ballet" type stuff, they're legendary. I took like 150 pictures or something, lol, so here's a few of them.
This is one of those famous moves, its called the Capriole. The horse literally jumps up into the air and kicks out his back legs. It was originally taught to these stallions when they were war horses...it was meant to basically lick any opponents away if you were becoming surrounded.
More pics...lol unfortunately this guy was taller than I'd counted on.
These last two horses aren't Lipizzaners. They're Andalusians, a very old breed of Spanish war horses. The Lipizzaners have a lot of Andalusian blood in them, which is why they were also featured in the show.
This guys was my favorite, he's gorgeous (Andalusians are my favorite breed anyway).
This guy was all sparkly, lol. He was "dancing" to some jive song or something, so they jazzed him up.
