I am going to use the adapter that comes with my jebao pump to plumb it. The adapter is meant for vinyl tubing. This will be submerged so what can I use to clamp it? I was thinking zip ties?

Zip ties x2 or one stainless band clamp. All I can say is if you have to heat your vynal tube to get it on the adapter you are good wit 2 zip ties and that is more then plenty

perfect my plan was to use the heat gun on the tubing and then zip

why not hose clamp?

jay the stainless steal once will rust also the screws typically are not stainless steal. I could order titanium hose clamps but that's a hassle. this will be submerged.

Ok I work in food grade facilities you want 316 stainless clamps not the cheap ones at home depot if you go that route. A good zip tie has 100 pounds holding strength which is good for any pump for an aquarium setup
cool
so when you say a good zip tie what am I looking for? I have a package of black zip ties from harbor frieght that where dirt cheap. Is there any brand or thing in particular I am looking for?

No they will work fine for what you are doing. I'm not sure the brand I just know sift salt gets good zip ties and that is what I use lol. They are 200 lbs breaking strength and I get them for free. I know guys who have vynal tubing just pressed on an adapter and running of a mag 2400 and do not leak

+1, that was exactly what I was going to suggest - plastic hose clamp.

Having said that, I use zip ties for my braided tube that connected to barbs on my return bulkheads and no issues. I didn't even heat the tube, and it was a pain in the arse to get on...LOL.
