Hose to backwash ultima pond filter?

Hey guys. Just wondering how many of you use a hose to backwash an ultima pond filter. The filter has a 1.5” pipe for the backwash and I wanted to run a hose. Not sure if I should get flexible pvc hose or get a standard pool backwash hose. It’ll need to run 100 feet so I can water my backyard with the backwash.

Looking for any tips or experiences you may have on how you setup your backwash system. Thanks!

Pool hose all day. The are larger and store away with less space.

I also use the the sump hose (not filter) from HD. Ever something it’s called. It only last a year or so from dragging it over concrete until th pinholes start. They are cheap and come with the fitting to connect to 1.5” out of the box.

Thank you. I ended up ordering a 1 1/2” hose woth clamps from Flexpvc.

now I just have to figure out the fittings to put on the outlet for the backwash pipe to connect

That looks like what the firefighter use lmao and your using it to backwash dang big tank problems

I was actually going to buy a fire hose but this was half the price.

This looks like it slips over PVC pipe as a sleeve. Cool i not used one of those before. It thats all it is just put a 4” pipe in the uniun nit and call it a day. If you swap it out to a standard union you make it clean and flat via acrylic plug.
