just a thought...
does the diameter of the tubing effect the gph at the head ?
i mean if its wider wouldnt it be more wieght pushing against the pump?
but also if its smaller it could be more restricted.
lets hear your thoughts on this please
thanks

Water pressure is dependant on hieght alone.

A bigger diameter pipe has less friction due to a lower surface to volume ratio.

ha yea. so can i get another opinion?
anyone?
or does no one really know?

Generally, larger diameter results in more flow. In fact, a small increase in diameter increases cross sectional area quite a bit.

There are a lot of online pump head/pipe diameter calculators out there. Play with them and see what the results would be like.

DannerMag suggests using 1-1/2" diameter on the pressure side of its pumps to get its advertised pump rating.

epond83 nailed it 100%. You can have a second opinion, but it isn't going to be right.
